This artwork reflects the urgent environmental and human rights issues through a childhood story shared with my Nepali friend, Kalu. Set in our small village, Kamrao, in Himachal, it highlights the impact of mining on water resources, which has caused a severe water shortage and disrupted local life, making celebrations like Holi impossible. The story touches on themes of climate change, environmental degradation, and racism, using our childhood friendship as a lens to explore these global challenges.
